Children can climb into an igloo, play in a log cabin, put together a puzzle of Matthew Henson, pretend they are launching a
spaceship, and discover six exploeres in the big box!
Jewel-Osco is sponsoring this unique exhibit. This hands-on exhibit is designed to educate and expose children (ages 3-9) to
the untold history of unknown African-American explorers. Through exciting activities, children learn the importance of these
explorers who often went unnoticed, despite their many accomplishments and contributions to the world.

The focus of this exhibit is on the history of blacks in aviation. It is an interactive exhibit designed to educate and
expose children to the achievements of African-Americans such as Eugene Bullard, Bessie Coleman, the black Chicago pilots,
the Tuskegee Airmen and present astronauts.
Children can have fun and learn. They can meet a talking airplane, view a film,
interact on our "Turn and Learn" and computers, and participate in table activities.

Howdy Partner!! Saddle up for another adventure at the Bronzeville Children's Museum.
Estaban, York, Negro Abraham, and Mary Fields are part of this latest exhibit which explores the contributions of
African-Americans who, against all odds, helped built the West.
Children of all ages are invited to learn about the contributions of African-American in the West.

This interactive exhibit is designed to educate and expose children (ages 3-11) to one of the greatest events
in our history.
Conductors, drinking gourd, lanterns, North Star, "Moses", codes, Frederick Douglass, Harriet
Beecher Stowe, John Brown, and Harriet Tubman are just a few of the things and persons they will learn about
as they tour this interesting, hands-on exhibit.

Children will learn about Scott Joplin, Fisk Jubilee Singers, Marian Anderson, Duke Ellington, and other famous musicians
and musical styles.

Dr. George Washington Carver was a famous scienist who revolutionized the way the peanut was grown and used for household and
industrial products. He discovered over 300 uses for the peanut. Carver's story is an inspiring one that takes you through
his struggles as a child slave to his position as a famous, influential adult. Carver was humanitarian who used his created
gifts to benefits all people.
In this interactive exhibition, children can pretend they are planting peanuts, put on lab coats and work in a simulated laboratory
beside a replica of Dr. Carver, interact with a talking peanut, view a film about Carver, experience with antique laundry in the
1800s to work his way through college, and play an educational peanut computer game.

the untold story a brilliant African-American scientist and inventor.
